They learned capoeira from professor Totti Angola, who was a student of <a href=\"https:\/\/joaogrande.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/joaogrande.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mestre Jo\u00e3o Grande<\/a> in New York since 1994, and started teaching in The Netherlands in 2002. After he left for Brazil in 2013, Ilma and Ronnie started GCAH to maintain and promote the art of Capoeira Angola in The Netherlands.
